What are small groups?
Small groups are valued as an essential part of the mission and ministry of Bethel. Groups of between 6 and 12 people meet weekly in an informal setting for Bible study, prayer and discussion. The aim of the small groups is to enable those who attend to develop caring and supportive relationships, giving the opportunity to grow in faith together, providing a safe place to ask questions and a network of friends to provide support when needed.
What do small groups do?
We use a variety of Bible study material which includes using DVD and book based studies as well as material produced by our Minister. In each term we also encourage the groups to participate in social events many of which centre around food but can also include games evenings, quiz nights or even trips to the open air theatre in the summer. The Prayer and Praise evenings held once each term are also built into the small group programme to encourage as many people as possible to attend.
When do small groups meet?
We currently have groups that meet at 8pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings held in homes across the local area of Whitchurch / Llandaf North.
Will I need to attend every week?
Most small group members attend meetings on a regular basis, but for those who cannot attend regularly the small groups can provide a vital link and way of being supported in prayer, friendship and in practical ways.
How do I join a small group or find out more?
