Rev. Jonathan Vaughan-Davies
Our minister, Rev. Jonathan Vaughan-Davies joined us almost twelve years ago as an Assistant Minister straight after completing his training at South Wales Baptist College. He was called as Minister in 2012 when our former Senior Pastor (Rev. Simeon Baker) felt called to accept the role of Director of Mission for the Baptist Union of Wales.
Jon and his wife Aimée have three young children, Isaac, Joshua, and Lois. Jon’s main passion is for people to encounter the presence of God – whether that is in a church context (through worship leading and preaching) or in a mission context (e.g. through creative street projects, schools outreach, through the Question course to name a few). He has a passion to see people grow in their discipleship and spiritual gifting, and seeks to nurture and release others into ministry and mission roles within the church.
Church Support Worker-Lorraine Vernon
Lorraine started in the role of Church Support Worker in October 2014 after being a member at Bethel for a number of years previously. Lorraine is married to Rob (A Church Deacon) and they have two wonderful daughters. When not at work Lorraine enjoys all things musical-singing in a choir, teaching piano and playing in the Church Music Group.
My name is Janet & I have been cleaning at the church for quite a number of years. I am married to Simeon & we have one daughter called Bethany who is going into her 3rd year at Cardiff Met University. During the week I help run the toddler group every Tuesday & I also work part-time for a care agency as a home support worker.
For my leisure time I enjoy lovely long walks & also in the last few years I have grown to enjoy pillion riding on a motorbike with Simeon. We have travelled to many places together & look forward to many more adventures!
