About Bethel UNITED CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST, Apostolic Cardiff

Welcome to our Church where we love God, and where we love and serve one another.  A warm welcome, and a mighty blessing awaits you here.

About Lead Minister Jo Earle:

Lead Minister Jo has served in ministry in Bethel Church Bristol for the past 30 years. Her calling is to love, to lead and to feed God’s people. She is passionate about prayer. By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Lead Minister Jo and her husband, Minister Michael Earle, have been called to serve the people of Cardiff. Together, they oversee all the ministries in Bethel Cardiff, and connect with local churches and community leaders to ensure that needs are met, and people are blessed.

As well as leading the Men’s ministry, and Health and Wellbeing Ministry, Minister Michael is an Ambassador of Men’s Health, and good mental health and well-being for everyone.

Our Vision for Cardiff:

“Birthing Believers, Developing Disciples, Connecting Communities”

From newly birthed believers, to mature disciples, our mandate is to grow leaders and to send them to the lost, the broken, and the needy to preach the gospel of Jesus’ Christ, and bring hope in a time of despair. Our mission is one of Evangelism, Empowerment, and Engagement.

What We Believe:

We are affiliated with Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic U.K. & Europe. Our Statement of Faith is as follows:

1. We are an Apostolic Church. We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone; (Ephesians 2:20 KJV) As such, our faith is grounded exclusively in the Word of God. We do not subscribe to any creed or tradition outside of the Holy Scriptures.

2. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it is the final authority on all matters (2 Tim 3:16; Psalms 119:89)

3. We believe that there is one God and His name is Jesus. We believe that Jehovah God in the Old Testament is Jesus Christ in the New Testament. 1 Tim 3:16 KJV: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

4. We believe that all men have sinned and need a Saviour. That Saviour is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

5. We believe that Salvation comes in the name of Jesus, and by grace through faith (Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8)

6. We believe in the new birth and that to receive salvation every man, woman, boy and girl, must be born of water, and of the Spirit of God: St John 3: 3-5

7. We believe that every Believer must be baptised in the name of Jesus (Acts 2: 38) and that the name of Jesus is the only saving name given under heaven among men whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

8. We believe that every Believer must receive the gift of the Holy Spirit evidenced with the speaking of new tongues (a new heavenly language) as the Spirit gives them utterance (Acts 2:4)

9. We believe in Holiness, without which, no man shall see God (Hebrews 12:14 KJV)

10. We believe in the Resurrection of the dead; that the godly will rise to eternal life; and the ungodly to eternal damnation (Romans 6: 4-5)
